About this Panelist

As a Digital Nomad before the term was coined, Andrés founded Democracy Now! en Español in 2005 and traveled the world for 12 years to build a team that formed a network of 500+ radio stations airing grass roots global independent news in Spanish ( He later opened a Guest House just before the pandemic struck ("what was he thinking?") near the volcanic paradise of Lake Atitlán in Guatemala ( which serves as a base to which he returns from his ongoing nomadic life. His forthcoming literary work Through the Musebreath, part anti-novel, part nonfiction (history/science) and part memoir (with participatory readership) will pre-launch on the August 21-22, 2021 Blue Moon (seasonal definition) with the final launch on Dec. 30-31, 2021 -- the 39th anniversary in 1982 (and 7th preniversary in 2028!) of the Blood Blue Moon (monthly definition). The main characters (an activist/historian of empires and a double Ph.D. scientist) weave such a convincing story about lunar rhythms and the tapestry of revolution that the author himself is starting to believe it. (They might even convince you too)!
